First Day @ Harlaxton 2009

Guess what??? We made it safe to England! Everyone got their luggage and through customs without a problem :) The first day of the trip really started yesterday....so lets start there!! We all arrive to the Evansville Airport...the trip to Detriot was very short and not bad at all (well there was an exception for a few of our 1st time flyers) Once we got to Detriot we looked to see if our flight had been moved up....and imagine that NOPE not at all!!! So we had the best 8 hour lay over in history!!! We went and ate lunch and then everyone was on their own way....about 7:30pm we got to board the plane. This was the start of our JOURNEY through the UK...we arrived in London about 9:30am which is 3:30am our time back home, so for some of us this means we are working with little or no sleep at all. After the flight we got aboard the coach bus and off we go a 3 hour bus ride to Harlaxton. Once we got to the campus I thought that this was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen before!! We started off with lunch since it was almost 1pm at that time...then after getting told the wrong directions to our rooms we finally made it!! At 2pm we had a short orientation and then we got to wander around the campus to see all of the wonderful things it has to offer!!
